Awaiting customer decision

The newly completed EVA Customers list was the next agenda item.  The group reviewed the list, noted that there were 72 customers since the recent connection of the Bundy Office on Valley Street rather than the 71 customers shown.  A previous version of the list showing customers, charges and fees has already been forwarded to NetAccess as the basis for payment under the Town’s agreement with that company.

Progress of proposed extensions was discussed and it was noted that the fiber extension along Trooper’s Alley was finally underway after many unavoidable delays.  Attendees were advised of the groundbreaking ceremony at the new Police Department Office to take place at 10:00 AM on 5 September 2000.

There followed some discussions of the lack of fiber capacity on Plumb Alley at some locations such as around the Town Manager’s Office and several others.  David Taverner agreed to look into some ideas for expansion of E V A using fiber optics or wireless technologies or some combination of those.

The next meeting will be held on the normal last Wednesday meeting date which falls on 27 September, 2000.There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 1:10 PM.

Respectfully Submitted,

Albert C. Bradley,

Secretary
